Our client requires an advanced practitioner sonographer. You will be expected to work independently but your support network will be as part of the ultrasound team. Flexible approach to working as the department operates from 0800-2000 Monday to Friday, and you will be required to cover in the Early Pregnancy Unit (EPU) on Sunday mornings and on bank holidays on a rotation.
You will be required to work to a high standard in keeping with departmental guidelines and protocols with regard to patient care, and expected to participate in CPD and clinical audit.
A Postgraduate qualification in ultrasound is required and you must be registered with the Health Professions Council or equivalent. You need to be a team worker with good communication skills and have the ability to handle difficult situations with sensitivity.
Postgraduate Certificate or Diploma in Medical Ultrasound
Registered with the Health Professions Council
Communication and counselling skills EXPERIENCE
Must be capable of performing and reporting obstetric, gynaecological and abdominal scans independently
Experience in neonatal hip scanning and the diagnosis of DVT’s an advantage
